Man falls from Yadkin River Bridge
SPENCER — A motorist who pulled over on the Yadkin River Bridge late Monday night because he felt sick somehow ended up in the water, according to Rowan County communications.
The driver fell into the river but was not believed to be injured, a dispatcher said. At press time, Millers Ferry Volunteer Fire Department and other agencies were working to get the man out of the water.
He was conscious and talking to rescuers. Initial information that the man was a construction worker were not accurate, the dispatcher said.
