A reception for the untitled art exhibit by Jesse Hinson will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Looking Glass Artists Center, 405 N. Lee St.

Hinson has worked with a variety of media but her concentration is on graphic style. This exhibit will include a retrospective series of prisma colored pen and ink drawings in a unique style with plenty of personality.

She has earned recognition for her work and has exhibited in student art shows at Waterworks Visual Arts Center, Looking Glass, the Salisbury Civic Center and the Center for the Faith and the Arts.

A native of Rowan County, Jesse is a graduate of West Rowan High School and is currently studying art at San Francisco Art Institute. Her inspiration comes from a variety of sources including extensive travel in the U.S. and abroad.

Jesse enjoys spending time at her home in Salisbury making art in a variety of mediums when not studying in San Francisco.

Light refreshments will be served during the event, which is free and open to the public.
