Salisbury High PTSA presents awards

The Salisbury High School Parent Teacher Student Association held its 45th annual honor awards assembly April 30. More than 340 students were recognized for academic excellence.
Several seniors were recognized as PTSA Scholars: Suzana Brborovic, Zach Brincefield, Athena Cook, Hunter Denham, Caroline Graham, Kimberly Grooms, Justine Hampton, Kristen Harman, Megan Harman, Brandon Harmon, Holden Hughley, Desiree Jones, Benton Kribbs, Paul McNeely, Helen Nguyen, Stephanie Okonmah-Obazee, Brock Overcash, Jaren Peninger, Tyler Petty, Joseph Rapp, Sarah Seifert, Katie Smith, Katelyn Storey, Albert Thayil, Sara Walser, Alex Wimmer, Garrett Yelton.
The PTSA also awarded the following scholarships:
Desiree Jones, $500 Salisbury Endowment Scholarship; Paul McNeely and Joe Rapp, $800 PTSA scholarships each; Alex Wimmer, APPLE Fund Scholarship, $1,000; Katie Smith, Eagle Student-Athlete Scholarship, $1,000.
The APPLE Fund supports a scholarship program at the school. APPLE stands for Appreciating People who Promoted Learning Experiences.
N. Windsor Eagle Student Athletes are Caroline Graham, Kristen Harman, Megan Harman, Benton Kribbs, Brock Overcash, Joseph Rapp, Tyler Petty, Katelyn Storey, Katie Smith and Garrett Yelton.
The PTSA commends all the scholars and scholarship recipients and congratulates all students recognized at the assembly.
