Holloway receives N.C. State scholarship

North Carolina State University has awarded Neely Holloway the Science and Agriculture Scholarship for 2013. To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must have graduated from West Rowan High School and major in physical or life sciences, agriculture or engineering at N.C. State University. This year the scholarship is for $2,500/year and is renewable if the student continues in a required major, maintains a 2.5 GPA and makes satisfactory progress toward earning their baccalaureate degree.
Neely is the daughter of Kent and Sara Holloway of Woodleaf. While at West she was on the women’s varsity golf team and earned all-conference honors. She also was a member of the National Honor Society, was active in Future Farmers of America and Relay for Life.
Neely is planning on majoring in nutritional science while at N.C. State.
The Science and Agriculture Scholarship at West Rowan High School was established at North Carolina State University by alumni of both N.C. State and West Rowan High School. The scholarship is administered by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at North Carolina State University.
