Starry Nights honors vets with Quilts of Valor

The Starry Night Chapter of the Salisbury-Rowan Quilters’ Guild recently presented 16 Quilts of Valor to area veterans.
The mission of Quilts of Valor Foundation ( is to cover all combat service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.
Starry Night members made a quilt especially for a member of the Honor Guard. These men are still serving their country and community.
A presentation of eight quilts will be awarded again in November. As a continuing service project for the chapter, eight quilts will be awarded every May and November.
