NC Music Hall of Fame names inductees

KANNAPOLIS — The N.C. Music Hall of Fame has announced the 2013 inductees.
The induction ceremony is set for Oct. 17 at the Gem Theater in Kannapolis. The evening will include a reception, the ceremony and a variety of entertainment.
Advance tickets and reservations are available at the hall of fame museum, located at 109 West A St. in Kannapolis.
Inductees include:
• Performing artists
Alicia Bridges, recording artist (“I Like The Nightlife”) from Lawndale
Grady Tate, jazz drummer and performer (“The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” band) from Durham
The Catalinas, recording artists (“Summertime’s Calling Me”) from Charlotte and Statesville
John P. Kee, gospel recording artist (New Life Community Choir) from Durham
Willie Weeks, bass guitarist (Eric Clapton) from Salemburg
• Non-performing artists
Tony Brown, musician and country record producer (George Strait, Reba McIntyre, Vince Gill, Jimmy Buffet) from Greensboro
Rick Dees, radio personality, (recorded novelty song, “Disco Duck”) from Greensboro
• Deceased
Dell Reeves, country recording artist (“Girl on a Billboard”) from Sparta
