Cleveland County woman accused of Bible beating
KINGS MOUNTAIN (AP) — A Kings Mountain woman has been arrested and charged with beating another woman with a Bible.
Fifty-seven-year-old Evelyn Mills Moore, 57, was arrested Saturday on a charge of assault inflicting serious injury.
The arrest warrant states Moore used her fists and a Bible to strike the other woman.
The victim suffered bruises on her head, face and arms.
Moore also was charged with assault accusing her of striking a man with her fist, causing numerous bruises.
Moore was being held in the Cleveland County jail. It was not clear if she has a lawyer.
