The Rowan County Board of Commissioners will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. today to consider a resolution supporting construction of an Interstate 85 interchange at Old Beatty Ford Road in southern Rowan County.
The proposed resolution says the interchange has a No. 1 priority ranking from the Cabarrus Rowan MPO, a transportation planning group, and has great economic development potential for the area.
The resolution is the only item of business on the agenda.
Commissioners meet at 130 W. Innes St.
