Annual Dogwood Tournament Outcome

Published 12:00 am Sunday, March 31, 2013

Last weekend Salisbury hosted our Annual Dogwood Tournament. We had a great turnout with the 299ers making up almost half of our players.
We would encourage our local 299ers to come out to our games and join the fun. You could be ready for next year.
Judy Gealy and Carol Bachl won the most points for our 299ers with Bill Wisdom winning the most local points and the most points overall for the tournament.
I want to issue a big thank you to all of our Salisbury bridge players. You are the best.
All I needed to do was say “I need” — whatever I needed, you came through. We never ran out of food. Debbie Suggs Catering once again came through with a great tasty and well done Sunday meal.
Many compliments were given by the players about the meal and the refreshments. I’m proud to say we have a great reputation for our hospitality.
There was no Evergreen game Friday. All games will resume as usual this week.
The winners on Tuesday were: First, Judy Gealy and Pat Macon; second, David and Anna Goff.
This week’s hand is taken from the Friday Night game at the tournament. No one vulnerable, S dealer. This hand can make 6NTN/S, 6DN/S, or 6C N/S. Of course NT would score the best.
