The N.C. Department of Transportation will close lanes on I-85 near Salisbury this week to replace two overhead dynamic message signs.
Tonight, crews will move to I-85 South. At 9 p.m., they will close the two right lanes of the interstate one mile south of Julian Road (Exit 74). At 11 p.m., crews will close an additional lane, leaving the three right lanes closed. They will reopen at 5 a.m.
NCDOT encourages motorists to go slow, pay attention to construction-related signs and allow plenty of time to reach their destinations safely.
