Kannapolis Lowe’s hosting Derby Days on Saturday

KANNAPOLIS — Lowe’s Home Improvement on Dale Earnhardt Boulevard will host its second Derby Days Runoff from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Cub Scouts can use the event to test their pinewood derby cars before their pack races, but any boy or girl can attend, organizers said. Church groups that have derby cars are also welcome to attend.
Those who have cars from previous years are encouraged to bring them for children who don’t have a car to race.
The first 150 children will receive a free junior Frosty coupon complements of the Wendy’s restaurant across from Lowe’s on Dale Earnhardt Boulevard.
Organizers will give away a free Dremel tool through a drawing. There will also be other giveaways and free refreshments.
Lowe’s is at 3025 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., just off Interstate 85 at exit 60.
