Amy Lea Hipp of Boone graduated from the Cratis D. Williams Graduate School at Appalachian State University on Dec. 16, 2012, with a Master of Public Administration degree, concentrating in Emergency Management. She received a Bachelor of Science in Public History and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management, both from ASU, in December 2010.
While at Appalachian, Amy was a graduate research assistant and completed an internship with the Watauga County Rescue Squad. Her capstone project was titled, “Volunteerism in Emergency Services: The Past, Present, and an Uncertain Future.
