SALISBURY — One person received minor injuries Monday following a three-vehicle collision in the 700 block of Julian Road, near Genesis HealthCare.
No names were immediately available. The Salisbury Police investigated the 3 p.m. collision.
The crash was a chain reaction. A Chrysler Concord stopped on the roadway when a vehicle in front of the driver was making a left-hand turn. Two other vehicles, both Nissans, ran into the back of the Chrysler. The vehicles were on Julian Road headed toward Interstate 85.
The driver in the second vehicle was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center after complaining of back pain, said Salisbury Police Sgt. Mark Hunter. He said the woman was not seriously injured. No other information was immediately available. Traffic was stalled in both directions for nearly an hour. Some motorists turned around at Rowan Family Physicians in the 600 block of Julian Road before nearing the accident scene.
