Bridgelessons start Friday at Rufty-Holmes Senior Center

Friday at Rufty-Holmes Senior Center is bridge lesson day. Carol Winecoff, a very excellent teacher, is resuming her classes from 10 a.m.-noon. Here is a list of subjects to be covered and their dates:
Jan. 25: >2 level pre-emptive bids
Feb. 1: Weak 2s
Feb. 8: Michael’s Cue Bid
Feb. 15: Unusual 2NT
Feb. 22: Pre-emptive smorgasbord (this would be difficult if you missed the 4 previous lessons )
March 1: Pre-emptive Smorgasbord #2

We encourage anyone who wants to advance their game to attend and then stay to play in our 1 p.m. game to practice what you learned .
Last Friday’s Club Championship Game was won by the Harold Winecoffs; scecond place, Gloria Bryant and Wayne Pegram; third, Chuck and Margaret Rimer; fourth, Ruth Bowles and Marie Pugh; fifth, Carol Bachl and Judy Gealy.
On Tuesday our winners were: first, Harold and Carol Winecoff; second, Carol Bachl and Pat Macon.

The McLaughlin/Rimer pair defeated their West opponent’s 5C one trick for the best N/S score. The Winecoffs made their 3NT+3 for the best E/W score.
