Doug and Penny Rice of Granite Quarry are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Elizabeth, to Andrew Martin Turfa, son of Arthur and Pamela Turfa of Batesburg, S.C.
Amy is a 2008 graduate of East Rowan High School, and Drew is a 2008 graduate of Blythewood High School, Blythewood, S.C. Both are graduating from Appalachian State University today, Dec 16. Amy is receiving a BachelorŐs Degree in Early Childhood Development with concentration in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Drew is receiving a BachelorŐs Degree in Criminal Justice.
Amy and Drew will be married in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on the campus of Catawba College in Salisbury on Jan. 19, 2013. The reception will take place in Peeler Crystal Lounge, also at Catawba College.
