Education shoutouts

These students participated in the Shive Elementary School Spelling Bee. The first place winner was Maci Cooper; the second place winner was Joshua Leonard.
Others who competed include Abner Chao, Mason Heard, Caroline Turner, Gage Jackson, Garrett Jacobs, Brennan Dwinell, Allison Fink, Sophia Brown.
Rowan-Salisbury Schools Director of Transportation Judy Burris has recognized the following employees for exemplary service as bus drivers for December. A bus driver must adhere to all the duties and responsibilities set forth by the Rowan-Salisbury Schools Transportation Department and is nominated by his or her bus coordinator for this honor each month.
