Authorities seek Norwood man in rape case, probation violation

SALISBURY — Authorities are searching for a 28-year-old man accused of raping a Rowan County woman.
Deputies said William Everett Blevins II, of Norwood, is wanted on charges of second-degree forcible rape and second-degree forcible sex offense. Blevins is also wanted by the U.S. Marshal’s Office for a probation violation.
He was released from federal prison this summer.
Blevins is “unstable and dangerous”?and has access to firearms, according to a press release from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the rape was reported on Dec. 9 and officers obtained warrants after concluding the investigation. The victim is listed as a 41-year-old female. His last known location was at a home on Hardy Road in Norwood with his girlfriend.
