Purses marked down to $1 for Helping Handbags fundraising sale

?Helping Handbags is wrapping up its weeklong sale by marking down all purses for $1 each.
The sale began Monday in the third floor breakroom of the Salisbury Post.
The proceeds from the handbag sale have generated $2,605.83 so far and will go to the annual Christmas Happiness Fund.
The Christmas Happiness Fund is a Post-sponsored program that provides Christmas gifts for children of low-income families. The money is collected by the Salisbury Post and distributed by the Rowan County Department of Social Services.
This is the second year the Helping Handbags fund-raiser.
The sale continues 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Friday.
Raffle tickets are still being sold for the designer handbags shown on the Facebook page “Helping Handbags” at the price of three tickets for $5 or an arm-length for $10.
Winners will be drawn on Monday, Dec. 10.
