Pleasant weather helped the Spooky Sprint attract more than 250 total runners and walkers on Sunday afternoon at Catawba College. Runners of all ages dressed for the occasion and later competed for crowd approval and prizes with costume contests for both kids and adults.
Overall winner of the event was Cal ‘Batman’ Meyers with a time of 17 minutes and 36 seconds . Faith Blume was the top female with a clocking of 21 minutes and 43 seconds. Cole Shugart won the fun run with a time of 3 minutes and 19 seconds.
Proceeds for the event will benefit Rowan Rotary projects. Results are available at www.salisburyrowanrunners.org
