Museum pays for more security in Spencer
SPENCER — The North Carolina Transportation Museum has renewed a security contract with the town of Spencer for increased security.
For $20,000, Spencer will provide nightly patrols and door checks, as well as more surveillance along the perimeter of the museum’s large campus.
Due to budget woes, the museum no longer has on-staff security guards.
