The Humane Society of Rowan County is a non-profit, volunteer organization. The HSRC coordinates reduced cost spay/neuter clinics with two local veterinarians, assists pet owners in various ways and attempts to rehabilitate sick or injured stray or abandoned animals. It does not operate a shelter and is not the county’s animal control agency. Foster care providers for HSRC animals are needed. Call 704-636-5700, option 9 or email humanesocietyofrowancounty@windstream.net for information.
