A fire burns across Tuckertown Reservoir in Davidson County.
The large brush fire was reported by Pooletown Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday evening just after dusk. The fire, which was located along the banks of the lake, could be easily seen from the NC Wildlife boat access off River Road in Rowan County.
Local residents identified the location as Bald Mountain which is a rugged, undeveloped area that rises from the waters edge.
An active railroad line runs along the base of the mountain and damage to the tracks was undetermined.
