Three East Rowan High School graduates are receiving treatment at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following a serious car accident Saturday night. 

Megan Bullins, 18, is in critical condition. Brothers Dylan, 19, and Garrett Davis, 22, are listed in serious and fair condition, respectively. 

N.C. State Highway Patrol Trooper J.P. Page said Bullins was driving a four-door Lexus passenger car east on Stokes Ferry Road about 10 p.m. when she ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree on the driver’s side of the vehicle. 

All three were pinned into the vehicle. It took rescuers about an hour to free them before they were airlifted to the hospital. 

Page said he’s still investigating the accident, which happened near Panther Creek Road in Gold Hill. 

“We really don’t know what caused them to run off the road,” Page said. 

He said there is no suspicion of impairment. 

The Liberty and Gold Hill fire departments along with Rowan County EMS and Rowan County Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
