Zombies' Night Out

The Downtown Salisbury Zombie Walk will be returning for its third year on October 12, part of the Night Out event.
Tortuga Twins Raphael and Scaramouche will be on hand as their alter egos Riki and Ronn. D’Angelo, aka Jef, may also be there. They will lead the walk along with Digger the Zombie!
Carolina Coffin Cruisers will have at least three hearses on display, arriving 5-5:30 p.m.
This year’s walk will be a dual fundraiser for the Humane Society of Rowan County and The Food Pantry. The event will serve as the kick-off for a food drive that will continue through the holiday season.
Registration will be $7 and begins 5 p.m at Dead Ed’s.
The walk begins at 8 p.m.
Those who bring one non-perishable food item will receive $1 off registration; bring two and receive $2 off (limit 2)
The start location will be at Allied Finance Company, 231 S. Main St., which is located at the corner of Bank and Main.
There will be a staging area where makeup artists (MU’s) will perform their gruesome makeovers. These artists have volunteered their time to do zombie makeovers and those who use their services are requested to thank them for their time and supplies with a tip. Time for makeovers is limited, so get there early if you need makeup. Cutoff time for makeovers is 7:30 p.m.
DSZW will begin playing at 8 p.m.
For the “After-Life Party,” Uncle Buck’s is offering food and drink specials and a family friendly atmosphere before, during, and after the walk.
Entertainment will include Big Break, the Graveyard Boulevard, and Vess at 11 p.m.
Vess was the winner of the Local Weenie contest that opened the Weenie Roast this year.
