?The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two home break-ins that might have been committed by the same person.
Someone broke into a Cedar Drive home in Salisbury. The incident was reported on Wednesday by Yoan Martinez Ferran.
Ferran told investigators he and his roommates were not at the home a few days, and when they returned someone had kicked in their front door.
Three bedrooms were ransacked and various items were taken, including a laptop, television and camera, said Capt. John Sifford.
On Wednesday, deputies received a phone call regarding an attempted burglary at an Old Beatty Ford Road home.
The homeowner, Robert Isley, told investigators his alarm company informed him someone tried to break into his home.
Isley had left for work that morning and received a call from his alarm company about a disturbance at his home. Isley went home and saw his back door had been kicked in.
He told investigators it didn’t appear that anything was taken.
Sifford said it is possible the two break-ins are related.
