Colonel (COL) John Edward Gray (Ret.) and Mrs. Sue Hamby Gray of Mount Ulla, Rowan County, recently celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary.
In honor of this occasion, their children hosted a party at the home of their daughter and son-in-law in Salisbury. Attending the celebration were their grandchildren, nieces, nephews, immediate and extended family members, and friends.
The Grays were married Aug 24, 1947, at Cleveland Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, NC. COL Gray served in three wars, is a member of the Legion of Valor, and The Chosin Few, a Korean War veterans association.
COL and Mrs. Gray have four sons, two daughters, seven grandsons, and eight granddaughters.
