A festival full of German flavor

It was the fourth annual GermanFest, the fall fundraiser for the Rowan Museum, Inc.
Those who attended listened to music from the New Dixie Pharaohs of Charlotte as well as Salisbury native Mack Williams, who sang in German.
Along the front lawn there were various lifestyle demonstrations, such as spinning and candle-making, to teach people about life in the early colonial period.
In addition to sauerkraut, attendees dined on bratwurst, pulled pork, green beans, German potato salad and grilled chicken, courtesy of local caterer Debbie Suggs.
