ENOCHVILLE – Deputies found 40 pounds of marijuana during a raid at a Russell Farm Road home Thursday morning.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said investigators arrested 31-year-old Ismael Garcia Gonzalez after serving the search warrant.
Street value for the marijuana is believed to be $40,000, authorities said.
Gonzalez, of Wilkinson Street in Kannapolis, was being held under no bond Thursday in Rowan County jail.
Records show Wilkinson was arrested at the Russell Farm Road home about 9:30 a.m.
Authorities said Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have been contacted in the case.
