Sasha Kitty event Saturday

SALISBURY – Sasha’s Birthday Party will raise money this weekend for Faithful Friends, a no-kill animal sanctuary located in Rowan County.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Stitchin Post Gifts, 104 S. Main St. The fundraiser is named for Sasha Kitty, who lives at Stitchin Post. The day will be filled with games, contests, prizes and fun for kids of all ages, including free snacks, cookies, punch and a special birthday cake for Sasha. Volunteers from Faithful Friends will be on hand with adoptable kittens and puppies.
Bring cat or dog food for Faithful Friends and receive a free gift. If you come dressed as your favorite animal, you get a chance to win a $50 gift certificate from Stitchin Post. For more information, visit www.spgifts.com or call owner Pam Hylton Coffield at 704-636-4121.
The shop will also host Sasha Kitty’s Book Signing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20 for Sasha’s first book, “Sasha Shops Salisbury.”
All proceeds will go to Faithful Friends and the Rowan County Humane Society.
