Imblum ~ Johnson

CLEMMONS — Michele Erin Imblum and Kyle Eugene Johnson were united in marriage Saturday, July 7, 2012, at The Arboretum at Tanglewood Park. Dr. Barry R. Sang officiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony. A garden reception was followed by dinner and dancing at the Manor House.
The bride was escorted by her father, Richard Imblum, and attended by Celia Lupo of Herndon, Va., as matron of honor. Her bridesmaids were Shawna Coker of Rockwell, Marisela Hairston of Belews Creek and Cynthia Palmer of High Point. Serving as junior bridesmaid was Abrianna Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo., daughter of the groom. The flower girls were Leah and Chloe Lupo of Herndon, Va.
Dr. Aris Sophocles III of Philadelphia, Pa., served as the groom’s best man.  Ushers were the groom’s son, Kyle Johnson Jr. of Colorado Springs, and the bride’s brother, Cmdr. Mark Imblum of Sofia, Bulgaria.  
Jessica Rutledge of Norwood was the guest registrar. Kamala Goode of Greensboro read Maya Angelou’s poem “Touched by an Angel.”  Serving as wedding director was Mrs. Jean Wurster of Salisbury.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Delores Imblum of Salisbury. An honors graduate of Salisbury High School, Michele received her B.A. degree in Historic Preservation and Art History from Goucher College in Towson, Md.  She graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing, where she received her BSN degree.  Michele is a Medical ICU Nurse at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
The groom is the son of Donald and Mary Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo. A graduate of Coronado High School, Colorado Springs, Kyle graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver. Kyle is a fourth-year Anesthesiology Resident at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. After completion of his Anesthesiology Residency in June 2013, he will begin his Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
Following their honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Winston-Salem.
