Two men in jail on weapons charges

SALISBURY — Two men are in jail tonight facing weapons charges.
Salisbury police arrested Darius Jervon Geter, 24, of Hoot Circle in Salisbury, and Hezkemerium Krider, 31, of the streets of Salisbury, Saturday at a home after receiving complaints.
Krider is charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon and misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana. Police say Krider was in possession of a KEL-TEK 380.
Krider was previously convicted of the felony of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, pleading guilty on May 4, 2000. He was sentenced in Rowan County Superior Court to 24 months of supervised probation.
Police say Geter was carrying a concealed weapon, a Walther Interarms 380, and had scratched the serial number from the metal frame.
He is charged with felony altering or removing a gun serial number and two misdemeanors, possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon.
Both men are being held in the Rowan County Detention Center. Geter’s bond is $15,000 and Krider’s is $25,000.
They are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
