Pedestrian injured on East Innes

SALISBURY — A 67-year-old woman suffered “minor injuries” after she was clipped by a car near the intersection of East Innes and Lee Streets Friday, authorities said.
The woman was struck about 2:30 p.m. as she walked across East Innes Street by a vehicle turning right to travel east on East Innes Street.
An officer on the scene said the woman suffered “minor injuries” in the accident. She was taken by ambulance to Rowan Regional Medical Center.
The vehicle involved was not damaged, officers said.
No charges were immediately filed.
