Pedestrian struck at Peeler Road
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at Peeler Road and South Main Street just after 10 p.m. Saturday night.
Rescue crews called for a medical helicopter to transport the victim, who was taken by ambulance to Rowan Regional Medical Center.
The patient, who was described as being combative, suffered lacerations to the head.
Crews at the hospital were awaiting the arrival of a helicopter at 11 p.m.
