The Tower of Power and local NAACP will sponsor a Community Cookout and membership-voter-registration drive at 601 E. Cemetery St. on Saturday, Aug. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In addition to the free hotdogs, hamburgers, fish, potato salad and sodas, there will be Gospel music by the Cliff Roseboro quartet, the TOP singers, praise dance, testimonials, door prizes and games.
