Here is a general list of supplies common to the schools in the Rowan-Salisbury School system.
For a more detailed list from your child’s school, go to http://www.rss.k12.nc.us and click on Back to School. To find the web page for your school, go to About RSS and find School Websites, then you can look at the list for the schools your children attend. Some lists are quite specific about folder colors, styles of notebooks and what kinds of pencils are not allowed.
Some schools request earbuds for electronic devices such as iPads or computers.

Middle & high schools
Middle school and high school supply lists depend upon which team or teacher the child is assigned to. Schedules will not be ready until right before school begins and are typically given out at open houses.
It is recommended that students at this level buy the basics listed below and be prepared to buy supplies as needed by the individual teacher.
Suggested general supplies — Notebook paper, notebook, composition books, pens (black and blue ink), pencils, erasers, highlighters.
Among other items middle school students may need are 3- by 5-inch note cards, personal pencil sharpeners, rulers with inches and centimeters and calculators. Individual team supplies will be given once students are assigned.
High school supply lists have not been posted on the schools’ websites.
