The Summer Reading Challenge continues tonight at 7 p.m. with a talk about “A Land More Kind Than Home” at Trinity Oaks Retirement Community, 728 Klumac Road. The event is free and open to anyone.
Dr. Forrest Anderson of Catawba College will lead the discussion. Author Wiley Cash may be able to join the group via Skype.
The novel is set in the North Carolina mountains, as was “The Cove,” a novel by Ron Rash, which is also part of the Summer Reading Challenge.
The final event of the challenge will be Sept. 27 and will include an on-stage interview of Salisbury novelist Jenny Hubbard, author of “Paper Covers Rock,” the third book in the challenge.
