Rector ~ Mowry

Laura Elizabeth Rector of Salisbury and Allen Glenn Mowry of Gold Hill were united in marriage Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Cauble Creek Vineyard in Salisbury. The Rev. Gene Bruce officiated the 4:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception.
The bride was escorted by her father, David Rector, and attended by her cousin, Heather Link of Salisbury, as maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were Melissa Green of Kernersville, Winnie Yang of Greensboro and sister of the groom Laura Thomas of Salisbury.
Derek Mowry of Salisbury stood as his brother’s best man. Serving as groomsmen were brother of the groom Christopher Bracken of Seattle, Wash., David Chase of Statesville and Adam Horton of Salisbury.
Annabella Grace Mowry, niece of the groom, was flower girl, and cousin of the groom Connor Halpin was ring bearer, both of Salisbury. Guest registrar was Emily Rector of Greensboro, sister-in-law of the bride, and special ushers were Michael Rector of Greensboro, brother of the bride, and nephew of the groom Jordan Thomas of Salisbury. Reception food was prepared by the Heilig family.
The bride is the daughter of David and Gail Rector of Salisbury and the granddaughter of Theodore and Esther “Dollie” Rector of Salisbury and Martha and the late Robert Deal of Woodleaf. A 2005 honors graduate of West Rowan High School, she received a B.A. in Hospitality Tourism Management in 2009 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, graduating magna cum laude. She is the front office supervisor at Wingate by Wyndham.
The groom is the son of Ramona and the late Paul Mowry; the grandson of the late Glenn and Grace Heilig; and the stepgrandson of Rachel Christy of Salisbury, the late Dr. Eugene Mowry and the late June Mowry. A 2004 graduate of West Rowan High School, Allen is a biomedical technician at Davita.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple are making their home in Gold Hill.
