At 4:29 p.m., National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located near Lake Norman or 16 miles south of Statesville and moving east at 20 mph.
The severe thunderstorm will impact locations near Davidson and Cornelius, Mooresville and Enochville.
