Granite Quarry Elementary School recently wrapped up the “Driven to Read” reading incentive program. More than 100 students reached the 300 mile marker, which required that each student read for a total of 4,500 minutes during the school year.
The entire school body read 108,382 miles for a grand total school-wide of 1,625,730 minutes. Students earned 1 mile for every 15 minutes spent reading.
National spokesperson Dusty Davis stated, “I am really impressed with how successful the program was at Granite Quarry this year! I would also like to thank the Granite Quarry PTA for their support.”
