Missing girl found, then arrested

ROCKWELL — On Tuesday, authorities found a 17-year-old runaway who disappeared from Nazareth Children’s Home last month.
Then they arrested her.
Tiara Toney was taken into custody on charges of resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer.
Rowan County deputies said Toney disappeared from the home on June 22. Officers said she was believed to be in the Charlotte area.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Police found the girl and returned her to the home Tuesday, an arrest report said.
But 20 minutes later, deputies said, Toney was reported missing again.
Officers said they found her walking in the 8000 block of Red Road.
Toney told officers if they took her back, she would run again, the report said.
She was placed in jail under a custody release to the Department of Social Services only.
