Gas leak stopped on Mooresville Road in Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS — Crews have stopped a natural gas leak on Mooresville Road and allowed residents there to return to their homes, the Kannapolis Fire Department said.
However, Mooresville Road remains closed between Charlie Walker and Bethpage roads in western Kannapolis as repairs continue.
Hazardous material crews from the fire department worked with PSNC gas company to control the leak, a spokeswoman said.
