4-year-old's drowning deemed accidental
SALISBURY —A 4-year-old’s drowning in a Salisbury pool earlier this month has been deemed accidental.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said Monday detectives have finished the investigation and charges will not be filed in the child’s death.
Robert Paul Felton, of Copper Leaf Lane, was found in a neighbor’s pool about 5:15 p.m. on June 9.
Homeowner Matthew Naves jumped in and pulled the boy from the pool and tried to resuscitate him, the report said.
