Loflin ~ Shirley

CLEVELAND — AnnaLacey Loflin of Salisbury and Michael Brandon Shirley of Rockwell were united in marriage June 2, 2012, at The Arbors.
The Rev. Andy Langford officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at The Pavilion at The Arbors.
The bride was escorted by her father, Dave Loflin, and attended by Miss Kadie Ketchie of Gold Hill and Miss Amanda Moose of Wilmington as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were sister-in-law of the bride Jennifer Loflin and Kari Sansbury of Rockwell, cousin of the bride Molly Yukica of Yucca Valley, Calif., Ashley Suddeth of Charlotte, Mandy Moore of Salisbury and Kala Beasley of Mooresville. Jessica Murray of Lexington, cousin of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. Adelyn Grace Loflin of Rockwell, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
Kent Shirley stood as his son’s best man. Serving as groomsmen were brother of the groom Chandler Shirley, brother of the bride Adam Loflin and John Noonan of Rockwell, cousin of the groom Stephen Campbell of Kannapolis, Richard Floyd of Mooresville, Lee Frick and Chase Overcash of Salisbury and Neal Roberts of  China Grove. Jarrett Murray of Lexington, cousin of the bride, served as junior groomsman.
The bride is the daughter of Dave and Cindy Loflin of Granite Quarry and the granddaughter of Mr. Ronald and the late Nancy Niederman of Salisbury and Mr. Arnold D. and the late Evelyn Loflin of Salisbury. A 2006 honor graduate of East Rowan High School, AnnaLacey graduated with honors from Cabarrus College of Health Science in 2009. She is a registered nurse at Rowan Regional Medical Center on the Women’s and Children’s Floor.
The groom is the son of Kent and Jenny Shirley and the grandson of Mrs. Shirley D. Shirley and Mrs. Virginia and the late John Campbell, all of Kannapolis. A 2001 graduate of South Rowan High School, Brandon served five years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a weapons and tactics instructor and as a crew chief on a 9 CH 53 Echo helicopter. He plans to attend nursing school in the fall.
Following a wedding trip to Mayan Riviera, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Rockwell.

On April 1, Wendy Murray, aunt of the bride, and Jessica Murray, cousin of the bride, hosted a recipe shower at The Crescent Clubhouse. Special guests were mother of the bride Cindy Loflin, mother of the groom Jenny Shirley and grandmother of the groom Shirley D. Shirley.
April 16, a work shower was given by co-workers on the Women’s and Children’s Floor at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
April 28, a shower was hosted by the bridesmaids, Kadie Ketchie, Amanda Moose, Jennifer Loflin, Molly Yukica, Kala Beasley, Kari Sansbury, Ashley Suddeth and Mandy Moore at The Gold Hill Barn in Gold Hill.
April 29, Cindy Tyler, aunt of the groom, and Shirley D. Shirley, grandmother of the groom, hosted a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Shirley.
On June 1, a bridal luncheon hosted by Bonnie Earnhardt, aunt of the bride, and Molly Yukica, cousin of the bride, was given at Carolina Lily. Gifts were given to the bridal party. Special guests were Cindy Tyler, aunt of the groom, Wendy Murray, aunt of the bride, and Shirley D. Shirley, grandmother of the groom. Special out-of-town guests attending were great-aunts of the bride Paula Dulli of Naperville, Ill., and Bertie Niederman of Union, Ky.
The evening of June 1, a golf-themed rehearsal dinner was given by the parents of the groom, Kent and Jenny Shirley, at the County Club of Salisbury. A special Cheerwine cake was made by a friend of the Shirleys, Pam Overcash of Lexington. Golf-themed cake pops were made by Leanne Weast, cousin of the groom’s father. Gifts were given to the groomsmen.
