Moped rider crashes into road sign
A Kannapolis man was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after he crashed his moped into a sign along Millbridge Road.
Armando Rodriguez, 49, was taken by ambulance said Trooper S.B. Marshall of the N.C. Highway Patrol.
Marshall said the weather was the contributing factor to this single-vehicle collision.
The incident occurred before 7 p.m. on Millbridge and Brown roads, not far from China Grove.
The heavy rains caused Rodriguez to crash. His injuries were unknown as of Monday afternoon. He was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
