SALISBURY — A little more than a week after raiding a South Lee Street home, Salisbury Police arrested a 26-year-old on felony drug charges.
According to a police report, authorities charged Ronald Earl Powers Jr., of South Lee Street, with felony possession with intent to sell marijuana, felony possession with intent to sell cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell narcotics, and misdemeanor maintaining a dwelling for storing drugs.
Investigators served a search warrant on the home in the 400 block of South Lee Street on May 15.
The report said detectives found 70.8 grams, or 2.5 ounces, of marijuana, 2.6 grams, or .09 ounces, of cocaine, and 51 dosage units of an unspecified controlled substance.
Officers said the drugs were hidden inside a wall in the home.
A loaded .22 caliber handgun, digital scales and $248 were also seized from the house, along with four walkie talkie radios that police said were believed to be used in efforts to avoid law enforcement.
Powers was arrested Tuesday morning about 10 a.m. He was in jail Wednesday under a $10,000 bond.
