SALISBURY — Julian Road was temporarily shut down this morning after an SUV slammed into the back of a commercial truck.
Emergency crews on the scene said no one appeared to be seriously injured.
The collision happened about 8:30 a.m. when the truck slowed to make a left turn onto a sideroad near Genesis HealthCare.
The woman could not stop in time, police said, and slammed into the back of the truck, crushing the Dodge Durango’s front end.
The driver’s name was not immediately available Wednesday morning.
Passengers in the SUV were being treated in an ambulance on the scene. Two children were passengers in the vehicle.
It was unclear if they would be taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.
Salisbury Police are continuing to investigate the wreck and charges are pending.
