Two injured in wreck at Jackson and Fifteenth
SALISBURY — The drivers of two cars were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon following a crash at the intersection of North Jackson and Fifteenth streets.
Emergency crews were dispatched at 2:11 p.m. and began working to get the drivers out of both cars.
Salisbury Police Lt. Andy Efird said a red Honda was traveling south on North Jackson Street when it “failed to yield right of way.”
A black four-door sedan slammed into the side of the Honda, sending both into the yard of a residence in the 300 block of West Fifteenth Street.
Both drivers were placed on stretchers and taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Their names were not immediately available Wednesday afternoon.
Efird said no charges have been filed, pending further investigation.
Salisbury Police Officer M.P. Benjamin will be heading the investigation.
