SALISBURY — Rick’s Barbecue & Grill was closed today while crews filmed a commercial in the restaurant for Republican gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory.
McCrory was not at the restaurant, but many volunteers and supporters are being featured in the commercial.
Owner Rick Foster was contacted earlier this week about the possibility of using his restaurant, which has been at its current location for about a year, as the scene for a McCrory commercial.
After a few conversations, Foster agreed and closed the restaurant for the day.
The restaurant will reopen at 6 a.m. Thursday.
