Monroe man faces drug charges
A Monroe man is behind bars in Rowan County facing drug charges.
The Rowan Sheriff’s Office charged John Tiernan, 28, of Austin Road with possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana Sunday.
According to an arrest warrant, Tiernan is accused of having two marijuana smoking pipes and a metal container with the drug.
He has also been charged with driving a motor vehicle with no registration and driving while license revoked.
Tiernan is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center on a $10,000 secured bond.
