CHAPEL HILL — They call him “Romar-kable” for a reason.
North Carolina fans got their first look at redshirt freshman Romar Morris in the annual Blue-White spring game Saturday and the thousands who showed were not disappointed with the “Zoomin’ Human.”
Morris, a former Salisbury star and 2011 North Carolina High School Athlete of the Year, scored three touchdowns in the Blue’s 44-21 win.
Morris scored on passes of 17 and 21 yards from Bryn Renner and also ran one in from eight yards.
On his scoring run, he found a defender in his way — former Salisbury teammate Darien Rankin, who is also a redshirt freshman.
Rankin, the 2011 Rowan County Athlete of the Year, had one tackle for the White team.
